Hugo Douville - VP Business Development & COO

A co-founder of CADENS™ Imaging, Mr. Douville has led the company as CEO since 2007. In 2008, he secured the financial backing for start-up through a first round of financing: C$3.2M divided equally between government subsidies of $1.6M, and $1.6M in share capital (from 3 semi-government funds, known as “FIER” or “Fonds d’Intervention en Entreprise Régionale”).

M. Douville is a specialist in physical acoustics, vibrations and non-destructive testing. Mr. Douville’s work has earned him several prestigious awards, namely in national competitions hosted by NSERC and the Canadian Space Agency, as well as the the competition held by the FQRNT (Aerospace scholarship of Québec). He has also earned the Governor’s Award from the Faculty of Engineering at the Université de Sherbrooke and the Jury’s Award from the Entrepreneurial Institute of the Faculty of Administration at the University of Sherbrooke, both awarded in 2003. Mr. Douville holds a Ph.D. schooling (3 years), a Master of Applied Science (M.A. Sc.) and a Bachelor of mechanical engineering (B.Eng.).
